The Day After Christmas…

I asked for no knitterly gifts this year….ergo…I received none. I did recieve some lovely things – a couple of collectibles and many well thought out gifts. I had some kind o’ raging eye “thing” going on tho, couldn’t wear one of my contacts and had horrible pain in the eye…very distracting from holiday cheer let me tell ya. Seems to be down to about 3% of what it was tho…so I’m here at work for another fun-filled day, woot!

 Me, sarcastic? nah.

 I cast on for the Koolhaus hat…and got two rows into the ribbing. I kept thinking, this does not look right. After the first row I thought, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong here…but this is not right. I counted. I checked. Hmmm. I did another row. I looked really carefully (with my one eye) at the picture on the pattern and realized….I’d read the *K1 P2 K1*  as *K1 P2* Doh. Can I just blame the eye? Can I add in there Jodie was working and I was trapped in the house with sugared up children who were making me nuts? Geez.

 I’ve begun working on The Artist’s Way…Very interesting stuff. More about that as time goes on….
